TE para, Mrs. Wender, submitted her work to The Topeka 32 Competition. When Mrs. Wender received notification that she got 2 pieces of her art work into the show, she was thrilled. The show was at The Alice C. Sabatini Gallery in downtown Topeka, at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library.
The Topeka Competition held December 4, 2015 – January 31, 2016, celebrates national artists working in three-dimensional media. It offers a unique opportunity within a public library setting to view the newest, most innovative work in contemporary art and crafts. The juror was nationally-recognized Renée Stout who is known for assemblage artworks concerning her personal history and heritage.
